A deposit may be required to secure your place on a trip, with the balance due by a date we will specify. If the balance is not paid by the due date, we may treat your booking as cancelled and retain the deposit in line with our cancellation policy.

5. Payments and Pricing

6. Cancellation and Refunds
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to keep our cancellation terms clear and fair. If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The refund you are entitled to depends on how much notice you give us before the departure date.
For cancellations made more than thirty days before departure, we will refund the amounts you have paid, minus any non-recoverable costs we have already incurred on your behalf, such as permit fees or third-party deposits. For cancellations made between fourteen and thirty days before departure, we will retain a reasonable cancellation fee. For cancellations made fewer than fourteen days before departure, no refund is generally available, although we will always consider exceptional circumstances compassionately.
If we cancel a trip for reasons within our control, such as insufficient participants or operational difficulty, we will offer you a full refund of all payments or the option to transfer your booking to a new date at no charge. At all times during a trip, the decision of the guide regarding safety, route, pace or the continuation of an activity is final. Our guides may alter, delay or cancel any part of an activity if they reasonably believe that conditions, equipment or the state of the group make it unsafe to proceed. Your cooperation with these decisions is essential to a safe and enjoyable experience.
We will provide appropriate safety equipment and briefings for each activity. Participants are expected to attend all briefings and to use required safety equipment in the manner demonstrated. Where we procure certain insurance such as liability cover for our operations, it protects our business and does not replace personal coverage for guests. We cannot accept responsibility for gaps in coverage that participants choose not to arrange. We will gladly advise on the kinds of coverage that are typically needed for your trip.
You are responsible for ensuring that any insurance you hold is valid and adequate for your planned activities and destination, and for carrying proof of coverage as required. If a medical situation arises, you are also responsible for the costs of any treatment that is not covered by insurance.
